1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Prudii Mail ("Prudii", "the app", "the software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the software.

2. Description of Service

Prudii Mail is a desktop email client that connects to your email provider(s) via standard IMAP and SMTP protocols, as well as Gmail and Outlook APIs. The app stores your email data locally on your device and does not operate any cloud services for email storage or processing.

3. License

3.1 Free Tier

Prudii grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the free version of the software for personal or commercial purposes, subject to these terms.

3.2 Premium & Team

Premium and Team features require a valid subscription. Subscriptions are managed through Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Subscription terms, billing, and cancellation are governed by Paddle's terms of service.

3.3 Restrictions

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the software
• Distribute, sell, lease, or sublicense the software
• Remove any proprietary notices or labels from the software
• Circumvent license verification or feature restrictions

4. Account & Credentials

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your email credentials and your device. Prudii stores credentials locally using operating system encryption (Windows DPAPI). We are not responsible for unauthorized access to your device or accounts.

5. Email Provider Terms

Your use of email services (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) through Prudii is subject to the terms of service of those providers. Prudii is not affiliated with Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, or any other email provider.

6. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data. In short: all email data stays on your device.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

8. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL PRUDII OR ITS AUTHORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

9. Updates

Prudii may release updates to the software from time to time. These updates may include bug fixes, new features, or security patches. We recommend keeping your installation up to date.

10. Termination

You may stop using Prudii at any time by uninstalling the software. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the software if you violate these terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the software constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles.
